So in the last little while, we have canceled our Internet services and then we got a huge virus and it ruined the computer to the point that we had to get it completely reformatted and everything put back on. Luckily the computer guy was able to save almost everything. Anyways, I was looking through all of my pictures and found a bunch of HATS that Ethan likes to wear. Thought that you might enjoy them also.

A Day With Daddy!

If you don't already know, Kelly is in the Sacramento Sheriffs Academy. This weekend they put on an open house for the families of the recruits. There was a ton of stuff to see and it was great to get to see what he does and where he has been spending all his time the last 7 months. They started with a welcome where the recruits were in their official uniforms and where in formation, then they did some marching which was very neat to see everyone in ranks marching around on command.
Here is Kelly standing at "rest" waiting for it all to begin!
After marching in, during the sheriffs speech!
Marching out at the end of the welcoming speeches!

Then everyone went out side where we where able to spend the rest of the day with our recruit. They had a bunch of fun things to see. They had motorcycles, helicopters, armored vehicles, mobile command centers, the K9 unit, and more. They also opened the Tactical Village, which is a large warehouse set up as a village. It had a house with like 10 rooms, a high school and locker room, a restaurant/bar. All rooms had props to make it look more really life. The purpose of this is to give the recruits placed to practice what they have learned. It was all really cool to see. We got to play in some of the stuff and here are all the pictures that I got before my camera died. (sad I know)
Ethan LOVED the helicopter. It flew in and landed while everyone watched and then we where able to sit and see inside it. Ethan continued to say "COPTER" the rest of the day. Then at the end of the day it lifted and flew away.
The cool looking motorcycles, Ethan's smile is so funny!

How cute is that bunch. I can honestly say that I have the cutest family ever. Just look at them!It was a great day the both of the boys where very well behaved all day long. Kelly now has about 10 weeks left and he will graduate on January 14th 2009. He is truly enjoying it and looks forward to receiving a job offer soon. WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!

Elder Bell

For the Past 2 years my brother James has been in Lubbock Texas serving as a Missionary for the LDS Church. On Oct 4th at 12:30 he arrived in the Sacramento airport to a family anxious for his return. The kids had a great time waiting for the plane to arrive and rushed to him with hugs once he was off the escalator.
The kids playing around while waiting.
Here is a video of him riding down the stairs and seeing all of us.

Here we are enjoying James being home (I'm taking the picture.)

Walking to the car scriptures still in hand.

His brothers love to have him home. Logan will learn who he is and not even remember this. Ethan took a day until he would even touch him. But after hanging out for 2 days he is now happy to see him and I know that they will get along just great.

Welcome Home Elder Bell!

We Love You!

4(1/2) Months

Logan has his 4 month shots today. OK so they are about 2 weeks late, but the update is as follows. He weighs 16.11 pounds, is 26.5 inches long and in the 75 percentile for everything and the doctor says that he is healthy and wonderful.
This morning he rolled from his back onto his tummy twice, so I am in the prosses of getting it documented soon, but with the shots and with being a little more cranky and sleepy, he doesnt feel up to rolling over right now.

Cookie Monster

Ethan helped me make cookies. It was the first time helping me cook and we had a great time. He looked so cute in the apron, it was way too big and kept falling down, but he didnt want to take it off. He just wanted to keep fixing it. He helped with everything. He meausered, sifted the flour, and kept the bowl clean. He couldnt wait to get the dough in his mouth he was eating what was on the side of the bowl. He was a great assistant and was ver good at not touching when he was told not to and eating when he was told he could. And of course, he love the final product.
YUMMY COOKIES!!!

I THINK THAT I HAVE A COOKIE MONSTER ON MY HANDS!!!

Prop 8 - Protecting Marriage

Yes on Prop 8

For those of you who don't know, in California on the November ballot there will be a proposition for protecting marriage. In 2000 there was Prop 22 that stated that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." It passed by 61%. Prop 8 is the same 14 words as before, but this time it's put into our constitution.

Proposition 8 is PRO-MARRIAGE AND CHILDREN
Proposition 8 doesn't take away the rights or benefits from gay or lesbian domestic partners. Under California law, they "shall have the same rights, protections, and benefits" as married spouses(Family Code 297.5). Proposition 8 will not change this. It just wouldn't be called marriage, and public school teachers wouldn't have to tell children it is the same as marriage.

The Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Laterday Saints has asked all of us (not just Californians) to help in the cause. For more information please visit protectmarriage.com. This is the website that the church has decided to support for this cause and any and all donations and volunteers should be directed to this site. There is plenty that you can do from out of state and California, and the future generations needs you help. Please find a way to help, even if it just to spread the word to all that you can, so that the message will be heard and the sacred union of marriage can go forth as one man and one woman.

Decorating

Now that we are settled into our new place, we are working on the decorations. For the first time in my life, I have a place that I can call my own that is some what cutely decorated. At least I really like them. There is still more that I would like to do, like add shelves, and mabey a little color or something, but for now I am very proud of what we have done. Take a look:

This is on the wall in the Boys room.

This is the family room. We are planning to add more and more family pictures around it when we have some. Let me know what you think.

My Boys

In the last month alot has happened. We moved into our own place, an apartment inbetween both grandparents. The boys are getting so big. Ethan has started to copy everything that he hears. He says cookie, No Way, dangit, and recently he has learned Thank you. I love the way that little kids talk. They want to be just like us and I need to rememeber that he is going to do and say as I do and that I need to be a good example for him. Logan has rolled from is front to his back a couple of times. I think that he just lifts his head a bit to high and then get tired and drops it down and it makes him roll over, but he is learning. Here are a few pictures of them.

Ethan was playing in the kitchen and found the oven mits.

Logan smiling away for the camera, he loved to be happy and will smile at anyone willing to give him a moment of their time. He is also tickelish and and loves to laugh.

Ethan being as cute as can be, standing around watching is dad get ready for the day. (this is not a posed picture. he was watching is dad get ready and we grabed the camera and got the picture before he moved.)

Logan exploring and worderful world of the BALL. Looks like he is going to enjoys sports just as much as his older brother.

Lake Tahoe

I took my boys to Lake Tahoe with my mom and siblings. Ethan had a blast playing in the sand and Logan just chilled in the play pen enjoying the great outdoors. We played on the beach and we rented a paddle boat to cruise around in. Ethan enjoyed ruining the sandcastles that the kids where trying to build and enjoyed the water like usual. It was a great trip, everyone got sunburn, but my little ones. I got the worst, but i asked for it by not putting any sunscreen on at all. In the end it all worked out as it turned to a tan. Here are some pictures of the fun day in the sun.

The Boys

Ethan is 18 months and Logan is 1 1/2 months. Ethan is as boy as it gets. He loves to play sports. He has an amazing arm and can throw, catch, swing the bat and hit the ball. He loves playing in the water with his dad and would swim all day if he could. He loves being a big brother to Logan. He is always wanting to hold, hug and kiss him.

Logan is so much fun to have around. He loves to be held, but he also enjoys swinging in his swing and bouncing up and down on moms legs. He was born weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces, today, 6 weeks older he is weighing 11 pounds 10 ounces, and is as cute as can be.
