Stagecoach Rides

Every 3rd Saturday in Downtown Placerville there are free stagecoach rides. While the kids and I where downtown we thought that we would take a ride. Logan was a bit tired so he wasn't to excited, but Ethan was excited and nervous before we got on. During the ride he had a great time. He loved to see the horses and kept asking to see them again. The first ride he was holding on for dear life, the second time he just wanted to hold my hand and was really enjoying it.
Here are some pictures of us next to the coach and the horses. They have all the people dressed up old time and its a great way to see some of the Placerville "Old Hangtown" history.

I have come to find that it is very hard to get a picture of Logan in a full smile, but here he is having fun with his big brother and you can see his sweet smile that lights up his crystal blue eyes. Ethan is a great big brother. he loves Logan and is always taking care of his little brother.

I love you both!

Logan Turns One

My little baby has turned ONE!! He is walking like crazy, enjoys playing with his big brother, has started jabbering away (he always has something important to say), and loves to laugh with his daddy. He is a joy to have with us and couldn't love him more. We spent his birthday as a family and then had Grandma Bell and James, Ashley, Kyle and Lane, as well as Grandma and Papa Roberts and the Missionaries over for a little party, cake and ice cream. Here is Daddy and Logan with his cake.Isn't it just so cute?!?!?! Logan had a blast eating his "big rock" of the cake and every time we would tell him to eat it, he would simply put his face into the cake and take a bite. Totally cute!

Logan I hope that you had a great first birthday and that there are many happy days to come. We love you!!

Some friends of mine invited us to their house to see some goats that were grazing the property. It was way fun. Ethan had so much fun watching them and his dad helped him ride one. There was one that was abandoned at birth and we were able to hold it. I think that they said the herd was over 200 strong. They sure were amazing, as the would stand on their hind legs and pull at the trees to get the branches. They will eat almost anything that gets in their path. They managed to tear off a branch while we where there. It was so much fun and a wonderful learning opportunity. Thank you Knapps!!

The Prophet said to Plant a Garden!

Kelly and I were really excited to start a garden this year, because last year we didn't even have a place of our own. Ethan was just as excited to help daddy get the dirt all really. Then they planted seeds in an indoor starter pot that allows them to grow and get big before we put them outside in the weather.Ethan helped by putting the seeds in the holes that Kelly had made.

Then after a week we had plants growing that we are going to put outside in our garden soon.

These are the bell peppers that we bought as plants, planted and cover with water walls to give them a personal greenhouse.

We have planted tomatoes, green and red peppers, watermelon, carrots, onion, zucchini, squash, cucumber, pumpkin, corn, cantaloupe, lettuce and snow peas. We are hopping for the best and look forward to the veggies we can eat.

Aaron and Ethan

Ethan's aunt Holly came for a visit with her 2 kids, Aaron and Jenna. Ethan had a BLAST with both of them. We went for a walk downtown and the boys just had a BLAST with the cars that Holly bought for them. Thank you Aunt Holly!!

While they were here, everyone met up at grandma and papa's for dinner and this was the fun after dinner. I'm not quite sure how the boys are going to like this picture when they are older.

All in all we love our family and enjoy spending time with all of them. We look forward to all the fun we are going to have.

First Steps and Babysitting

Logan has just been taking some steps the last couple of days ago. I have it all on my camcorder he took like 2 or 3 steps, but I can't get those vids onto my computer yet, so I thought that I would get one on my camera so that I could post it and this is what I got: ENJOY

Also to add to the maddess that we call life, I have started babysitting twice a week for 8 hours a day. Nathanel is 3 months old, so twice a week I have 3 under the age of 2 1/2. CRAZY but not that bad.

We are taking life one day at a time and loving every minute of it. Kelly has taken a few of the "test" that he has to pass to get the job and we will let you know as soon as we do.

New Chapter

A new chapter is beginning in our lives. Kelly has been given a conditional job offer, conditional on his passing the medical, psych, and the polygraph tests. The offer is for the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and he has been given a tentative start date of April 20th. We are truly blessed to have this opportunity and know that we have been watched over and cared for these last 4 years as we have gone day by day in faith that the Lord is watching over us. We would also like to say thank you to everyone that has helped us through this time. There are so many people out there who have helped us, supported us, and loved us.
THANK YOU and WE LOVE YOU ALL!

4 YEARS

Today was our 4th anniversary and we are loving every minute of life. Kelly surprised me with a massage and a large bouquet of flowers, and we shared a lovely dinner out.
Here is a summary of the last 4 years. We got married, moved in with Kelly's parents, moved to BYU-I 5 weeks later, went on a trip to Honduras, had Ethan, moved to Elk Grove, started our own business, moved back into the Roberts in Camino, had Logan, moved into an apartment in Placerville, graduated the Sacramento Sheriff's Academy, and got a job as a Sacramento deputy sheriff.

Every year we take a family picture to put in a special photo album that we got for our wedding, this is our annual picture.

To my husband, I love you and I am looking forward to the rest of this life and all eternity.

The Last 3 Months

In the last 3 months there has been a lot happening and I havent gotten around to letting you all know about it. So as an update:The Boys and I went to Utah for Thanksgiving and had a great time with the other 150 people to attend our dinner. I love being apart of a large family and having LARGE get togethers.

Kelly and I had Christmas together in our little apartment. Grandma and Papa Roberts, as well as Bethany and Nathan Wilde came to share the morning with us and then we had christmas evening with the Bells at their house. Here is our lovely Christmas tree.
The Boys got a Go- Kart that really goes.

A truck that he can sit on for now and then walk behind later.
Some of the Traditions that we have started:
